NO, we missed it. To be honest we were not aware of it. Did not think it would be on a Saturday. Shame, because I want my son to know, to understand. We need to remember and be thankful to those who gave lives for our freedom.

I always love your photos! It’s so funny that the horses look absolutely fascinated with your dog. But he doesn’t seem the slightest bit interested in them. This really made me smile.

Thank you Linda. My boys and the beautiful island we live on make it easy.

You are such an amazing artist. I can’t even pick a favorite from these! But, collectively, they definitely paint a beautiful picture of ‘the good life’.

  4. I love this one of today with the newspaper and looking into the bin for others 🙂 Just on the cusp of reading and having his eyes opened to the big wide world!

Thank you Kim! The world is never the limit for these little ones…

  5. This morning I opened my blog and saw your comment, then it hit me right in my soul. How could I forget? Your work is always inspirational to me.
Then I came to your blog and read your today’s post… that made me kind of sad, but in a good way. I realized that I am becoming one of those bloggers that have no time and just collects comments. I do visit a lot of people’s blog and comment on them, but still… I started my blog to become a better photographer, as well as a better person. Started it, to learn and share. I know that things changed a lot since January, and sometimes, I mean, lots of time, I see myself desperately searching for a best picture, a better technique, the best equipment… the best. Nothing wrong with that, but once it was going over my head. I guess.
But then when I read your post, it reminds me what I was looking for with my first post at January 01, I wanted To Connect with great artists, To have fun, To improve and be myself. I miss that and I need to find ways to have that back.
So thank you for your comment, thank you for your post today, thank you for sharing your beautiful work.

You can be whatever kind of blogger you want! Just keep your beautiful work coming.
But seriously, when I first started blogging I never realised how much of my time this will take. In fact how much of my time I will enjoy pouring into my blog and visiting others. I check out a lot of Scavenger Hunt enteries because I like to see what others come up with. But your blog and a couple of others I truly love and look forward to seeing. That is all.
Thank you Valeria, I look forward to seeing your journey through the lens of you camera.

  6. This is the time of year I really miss living in Victoria on Vancouver Island. For two years we got to enjoy having thousands of blackberry bushes just steps away from our front door. This photo makes me want to travel there just to go picking!

I must pack up and visit Victoria! It is on our to do list. We listen to their radio station and they always talk about great times to be had! I love blackberries and so does Little J, but boy they are hazardous to pick 😉

I love your August 19 shot. Bridges over rivers (or any small bodies of water) surrounded by trees are a favorite of mine. I especially love ones that look like it came from a Japanese Garden scene. =)
