Monday Listicles

Who’s ready for Valentine’s?

Personally I cannot wait to get some booze laced truffles. I guess after years of marriage the best gift a man can bestow upon his wife is to complete the honey do list. Which is impossible and unreasonable because as soon as something is done we come up with five more things to do. In our house we like to do stuff away from the home so I am not that particular about my husband fixing things. Lucky for me he is always ahead of the game and maintaing the home and repairing little things before they turn big. So instead of writing this weeks list of 10 Things in Your House Which Need to be Fixed ( Chosen by Christine ) I decided to write a list of things my husband completed around the house already. As a big thank you for being awesome. Happy Valentine’s day hun.

Next week:

10 things you have memorized ( Chosen by Robin )

Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

10 THINGS IN OUR HOUSE THAT MY HUSBAND HAD FIXED

1. Landscaping.

2. Painted the exterior.

3. Had the back porch installed.

4. Put a back door for the dogs to get to the garage.

5. Painted the interior.

6. We planted the garden.

7. We installed the storm door.

8. We got a new washer/dryer.

9. Fixed the doorbell.

10. He fixed the stove. I still get the chills thinking of how awesome it was that he fixed it all by himself!

In case you are curious, this is how our house looks ( first 5 seconds of the video shows it ):

Squee, I’m first! Been awhile since I’ve done a Listicle, but guess what? It just so happened that I had a post in my drafts that went along with this week’s topic! Serendipity!

Your hubs really did all that painting himself? Wow!

Sounds like your husband is pretty awesome. I would be pretty thrilled if the husband fixed our stove, too! That is, after having my finger ready to dial 911 the entire time. Thanks again for hosting!

We have gotten a lot done around the house, like having our deck redone, fixing up the basement suites, painting some rooms, replacing the bathroom sink, but there are just so many things yet to do, so that’s what I wrote about. It’s a bit overwhelming, really. Our house is a major fixer-upper, but such is the price we pay to live in the neighbourhood we do.

The video was lovely–as is your house!

I love the video. You are beautiful. I love your voice. All your lists – need to be vlogs. And a honey get something fixed list would pretty much stay that. A list on paper. :)

That was so nice of you to write about the things your husband has already done. I love the video. I always like to hear the voices of people I’ve gotten to know a bit through photos and posts.

If you’re getting anything fixed on your to-do list then that’s fabulous. Ours is always in slow motion it seems to cross off. Owning your own place is always a work-in-progress when it comes to home repairs. Thanks for hosting the fun!

I love the video! I know I have said it before, but what a beautiful family you have!! Also loved seeing a bit of where you live, I have always felt drawn to the Northwest and hope to visit one day (finally) and see if it is as glorious as I imagine it to be :)

Sounds like you’ve both accomplished a lot at home. Great idea to focus on what’s been done already–positivity!! It feels so good to look back and see all that’s been done already rather than just thinking about what is still present on the ever growing to-do list.
