Monday Listicles

Super Bowl Sunday.

For the record until a few years ago I was convinced it’s called Super Ball. You know cause it’s a ball but not round so kinda super sized and squeezed. But I guess nobody plays for a ball, everyone wants a trophy which is shaped like a bowl. Convenient. As a housewife I would be more excited about husband winning a bowl then a ball. You can display fruit and such. Even better would be Super Hairdryer. You know, one that would fix your hair every morning in 5 seconds flat. Never mind, where were we?

OH YEAH! SEAHAWKS ARE THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!!!

And now listicles. Thank you Phoebe for a great listicle idea this week. Truth be told I don’t really feel guilty about eating what I love or ignoring house work. I probably should so I could be house proud and bikini ready. Guess I feel guilty about not feeling guilty about my guilty pleasures. So does my husband. My listicle is a quick interview with him as he was packing his suitcase to travel again. Lucky for him he did not say: leaving my beautiful bride home alone again. Cause there is no pleasure in that, right honey?

Next week:

10 Things in Your House Which Need to be Fixed ( Chosen by Christine )

Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

10 PLEASURES MY HUSBAND IS NOT FEELING GUILTY ABOUT

1. Having a glass of wine with dinner.

2. Smoking an occasional cigar.

3. Weekly trip to the local craft beer store.

4. Drinking good scotch to accompany the cigar.

5. Getting his shoes polished at the airport.

6. Sleeping past 6AM on the weekends.

7. Daily 20 minute hot showers when at home.

8. Playing XBox in the evening.

9. Driving a sports car that is neither family or huge dogs friendly.

10. Taking an afternoon nap sometimes.

mean never seem to carry the guilt that a woman feels at least in my house that is the case. Ahh to have the ability to relax like a man.

Totally with him on #1, 3, 6, 7, & 10! Though I can’t remember the last week of my life where I got to shower daily. Sigh.

Also, why would anyone feel guilty about buying craft beer only once a week??? But maybe I’m biased, as the area we live in used to be called Brewery Creek. The breweries are all coming back & there’s an embarrassment of amazing microbreweries around here now. :) We were just at a tasting room this afternoon, in fact…

Great topic this week–I enjoyed writing this one. Also, yay for your sportsing team? They were the blue ones, right? 😉

Now, Stasha. I am going to have to disagree. LOL. While I didn’t like either team (Die-hard Steelers fan here) I would have rather seen Peyton win. And, as one of my guilty pleasures is Jack Bauer and 24… I am going to have to stand my ground and say the best part of the Super Bowl was the 24 trailer. :-)

I think he shouldn’t feel guilty about these, there’s nothing better for a hard working man than listening to some great blues with some nice old scotch in the jar while smoking a tasty cochiba…;)

Love that you interviewed the hubs. Great list. An afternoon nap is such a hot commodity among parents, I think. Thanks for hosting another fun listicle.

Great take on this week’s topic. I had to laugh out loud at “Driving a sports car that is neither family or huge dogs friendly.” Too funny.

I wouldn’t feel guilty about #6 or #7 either! I was thinking about you when we watched the Seahawks massacre the Broncos last night. (I think you’re the only one I really knew that wanted the Seahawks to win!) Thanks for hosting another great Listicles!
