Monday Listicles

Big game tonight.

Not that I know the first thing about football. In fact I still associate football with a round ball and half naked David Beckham kicking it. But seeing how Seahawks did so good and have such great spirit even I am very excited about tonights results. GO HAWKS!

PS Please don’t send me any football related hate mail cause all I know is that Seahawks are from Seattle and that the sign for detour in my town, employees in the post office and our neighbors are very excited about this game and wearing blue and green. So I am too!

Thank you Karen for a great listicle idea this week.

Next week:

10 Names You Would Have Named Yourself ( Chosen by Coletta )
Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

1. Nothing.

OK, I never do that but it might be fun.

2. Hike.

We do this every weekend.

Earlier today.

3. Eat Sunday roast.

My favorite meal ever.

4. Sleep in.

One can dream.

5. Split ‘staying in’ time with husband.

So that my son can have a full day off, complete with staying in PJs and building LEGOs all day. Very rare occasion but it has been known to happen.

6. Eat chocolate.

Who am I kidding, I do that every day.

7. Geocaching.

We usually find somewhere new to hike on Sundays so we can find a few caches along the way.

8. Have a game night.

We love playing Scrabble Jr, Uno or Jenga after dinner.

9. Make popcorn and watch a movie.

It’s what we do on Fridays when our friend Nola stays over. Or we watch a whole bunch of previews, finish the popcorn and go to bed before committing to a movie altogether.

10. Write a listicle.

Doing nothing on weekend is something which I hope to be able to do too..however with the kids and their classes it is near to impossible for that to happen. I too love watching movies on weekends if there is a chance.

As much as I like the Seahawks, I also really love the football that involves a round ball and a half naked David Beckham… ;-)

There are some serious advantages to men not wearing pads while handling the ball ;)

Hiking, chocolate eating, games night, movie night – right up my alley and similar things we do over the weekend to entertain ourselves. Go Seahawks!

Oh, I miss hiking… we haven’t done any since our eldest was born. Or, well, before that, as I wasn’t interested in climbing any mountains while pregnant either. We really should get back into it–living in Vancouver, BC, it’s kind of a crime not to.

Speaking of Vancouver, while out walking earlier today, I noticed a sign outside a pub that said something about ‘hawks’, which I assumed to be a pro sports team of some sort. I guess there are some American football fans north of the border too?

    Great list, as always!

That chocolate thing used to be an everyday activity for me as well. Game nights are great when all the lovelies and their boys are home. It gets pretty wild around here on those weekends!

You had me at half-naked David Beckham. ;-) A great list. We’re trying to introduce game nights that don’t feel like a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. So far that includes Chutes and Ladders, Battleship and Memory.

I can get down on some Scrabble! I’m a total nerd when it comes to that game. I love that you try to find somewhere new to hike every Sunday. I wish Nashville offered more places to hike!

I’ve never heard of geocaching. What do you do, exactly? But that’s pretty cool you guys hike every weekend. The perk of living where you do! ;)

The Seahawks are a good team. We cheered them on over the weekend, but we also rooted for the Broncos. Now both teams are headed for the Super Bowl. Yay! There is nothing wrong with eating chocolate every day. I have to have a little each day, too. I’m happier and I don’t over do it. Thanks for hosting the fun!

Vacation Rentals are the better way to travel because of Privacy. For people who like having their own space, hotel rooms are only slightly more inviting than the baggage claim area at a major airport. Maids coming and going, thin walls, elevator and HVAC noise, crowded pools…. Those irritants just don’t apply in most vacation homes.
