We are KOO KOO for the KANGA ROO

Some rock stars are smarter then others.

Frank Turner is the smartest. Not only is he a brilliant musician and a rather dashing devil but he picks the most fun bands to open for him on tour. This time he brought Koo Koo Kanga Roo with him on his American tour. Because they are a super fun kids band for adults I had a perfect excuse to drag Little J to his first proper rock concert ever last month.

My kid was in heaven. Neil and Bryan got on stage and started singing and dancing. My kid shook his booty for the whole hour and it was fantastic to see him happy, energized and having fun. I will admit I totally danced along to the Dinosaur song. Cause it is awesome! Afterwards we stopped by their merchandise table and they made Julian feel like a superstar taking pictures with him. We even left with a CD.

I will be honest with you. Although I consider myself a fun mom I am not one to do silly things and be very kid friendly. Taking Little J to the symphony or a camping trip is more my cup of tea then dancing around the house making silly noises. But a few weeks ago my friend Nola was having dinner with us and we started listening to some of our old CDs after dessert and the next thing you know we were all kicking around the house singing along to the Irish drinking songs from Flogging Molly. Little J was having the time of his life. He was a little shy to join in to begin with and probably taken aback by his parents unruly behavior but as I tucked him in that night he told me this was the most fun night of his life.

It would be great if I could naturally be silly and let down my guard every night, creating fun memories with my boy but that is not the case. So when Koo Koo guys released their workout video this week I knew I had to have it. I mean they say that Unicorns are real and rolling in the minivan is cool so it’s a no brainer right?

Here is one of their videos:

So if you are looking for a fab stocking stuffer digital download is only $5 and you can find it HERE. And don’t worry, if you end up loving it as much a we do your secret is safe with me. Party on!

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. We were not hired, paid or given anything in return to dance to Koo Koo Kanga Roo’s workout videos. We do it cause it is fun. We are not associated with them although Julian will probably be the first to tell you he is totally friends with the band.

How fun! It’s great when we can do things with our children and being silly is just one of the best! It’s spins like you and Julian had a great time! Also, as for not much of a get silly mom and building those kind of memories…I can think of a WHOLE lota kids that won’t have half the memories Julian has!
