Hello superheros!
With my incredible powers I can sense that you are here today to share your list. Welcome. Any list will do, but if you want to follow along the prompt this time around is 10 THINGS YOU DID THAT MADE YOU FEEL LIKE A SUPERHERO.
Last week was fun cause there sure was a lot of kissing going on. Thanks to our sweet Kerry for inspiring a kiss and tell listicle.
Next week I thought we could make a draft for our memoir. Inspired by my wonderful friend Terri who is about to publish her second book lets do a list: 10 CHAPTERS IN A BOOK ABOUT ME. You can stick to just titles or elaborate. Or write about someone else all together. Whatever you do, enjoy writing it.
For now, tell me what makes you a superhero!
Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!
10 THINGS I CAN DO THAT MAKE ME A SUPERHERO
1. I gave birth.
2. I can double flip a pancake.
3. I know CPR and I could safe a life. Really, we all should take THIS course.
4. I was going to say I can run 5k, but I think you will be more impressed if I tell you about folding 5 loads of laundry in under 45 minutes.
5. I brush my dog, sometimes for 4 hours straight.
6. I can grow a tree from seed.
7. I can drive in downtown Cairo during rush hour and keep my cool.
8. I can kiss my son’s boo-boos away.
9. I can sit through the dinner at my house without loosing my mind. Not much has changed since I started blogging.
10. And I can do this:
2 hours of my life I will never get back but kiddo said ‘please mommy, can you’…

Those puzzles are hard! You are indeed a superhero!

Looked easy enough. I think I lost more weight sweating over that puzzle then running
The dog brushing sounds really hard, and I’m not being sarcastic at all. I can barely brush my own hair (wait, I don’t!). xo

I don’t either… Honestly Alison sometimes I look at the pile of hair next to him and it’s like a whole other dog is laying by Max!

I’m jumping in – I have curly hair!!!! I do NOTHING (except put in hair lotion). SOMETIMES I will take a dryer to it but it would take hours to dry. That is all.

You sound like a superhero to me… is Cairo meaning the original Cairo? In Egypt? If so, you only needed to list that to prove yourself!

It’s the driving through Cairo that impresses me! And two hours to solve a puzzle? You are a far more dedicated mom than I am!!

Oh…I hate those things!! worse than a Transformer. you are super!!
especially since my laundry is still scattered on the spare bed. the kids are just grabbing clothes as they need them. and I am pretty sure there is still a load in the dryer.
because..I cannot figure out this damn Transformer!! Is it a truck? a robot? I don’t know…

The Cairo driving is totally impressive. You brush your dog’s hair for 4 hours straight??? I spend about two minutes brushing my hair, per WEEK.

oh man, those puzzles make me cry. I told my son we had to pop them out and glue them on paper, LOL.
I like to think we are all reading and responding in capes,

I hate those puzzles. You are a superhero if you can solve them… no matter how long it takes you!

That double-flap does sound pretty heroic! Your birth one reminded me of a funny maternity shirt I saw: I make people, what’s your superpower?

though childbirth is undeniably a super power driving in cairo is a very close second, I can barely manage Rome without wanting to commit either suicide or mass homicide, and Cairo is far worse!

The last time one of my kids asked me to do one of those puzzles I cheated. When they weren’t looking I took out a few of the pieces and arranged them in order. I wasn’t wearing my supermom cape that day.

I love this concept! I’ve been reading Kate’s listicles over at “Can I get another bottle of whine…” and loving them, but I finally decided to go find the brain behind the madness.
Put me on your list for reminders, I am totally going to try to write one for next week!

If you are brushing your dog for 4 hours, then you are simply amazing. My poor golden is madly neglected in the grooming area. And way to go on the puzzle. Those little kid games stump me all the time.
