Monday Listicles

And then October came…

I am so in love with this time of the year. You? Cannot wait for next week because teacher conferences combined with Columbus Day are bringing Little J a very long weekend and we get to hang out together again all day. Hurray!

Hope you enjoyed writing lists about imaginary island full of celebrities last week. This time around we are writing about songs from your prom. I never went to prom and was 18 going on 88 so lists about my high school years are anything but fun. So my husband to the rescue yet again! And this time around, despite our age difference I actually know all the songs on the list. I listened to them in 4th grade, on MTV!

Next week’s list is inspired by my friend Alisa who has a lovely blog called Southern girl eats clean. She wrote a post about beans that made her think of good times we spend together back in England. So I thought we should make a list of 10 FOODS THAT MAKE YOU THINK OF…

Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

We have parent-teacher conferences next week, too!

Tell your husband he made a great list. We must have went to high school around the same time because those all sound very familiar :)

I so love this time of the year, too. I can’t wait to soak up the autumn splendor. Great song list. You guys are a bit younger than us, but the 80s produced some hot rockin’ music. Thanks for hosting and have a monrific day!

Totally love this list. I actually know and like most of these songs as well. I would really have to wreck my brain about what songs were played at the prom.

Ha! This brings me back, but not FAR enough for me. My high school years are between 1981-84 and I saw this list last week and started thinking of songs I liked then. It was embarrassing! But weren’t the early eighties kind of embarrassing all around? Yes, I think they were. I pretty much stayed in my room when I wasn’t at school (which I hated) so I did listen to the radio a lot. I was pretty melancholy but my upbeat musical friends were Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie, Huey Lewis, The Police, Culture Club, Journey, Air Supply, The Eurythmics, Elton John and Men At Work were always there for me. xoxo
