Monday Listicles

Happy Independence week my friends!

I bet your week was filled with happiness, burgers and fireworks. Ours was so filled with sunshine my nose turned red, which matched with white t-shirt and jeans makes me ultra patriotic! Talk about true spirit of America…

Last week we talked Summer. This week we are talking WORDS THAT MAKE YOU SMILE, brought to you by Kerry. I kinda made a list of words my son says that make me giggle. He rocks. Have I told you that lately?

Which brings us to our next week’s assignment: 10 LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE YOUR FAMILY AWESOME.

Cannot wait to see what you got!

Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

1. Rubbish. As in ‘THAT’S RUBBISH’!

2. Bother. As in ‘OH BOTHER’!

3. Chuffed. As in ‘WELL CHUFFED’!

4. Oy. As is ‘OY, STOP IT!’

5. Seriously. As in ‘SERIOUSLY MOM?’

6. Hilarious. As in ‘THAT’S HILARIOUS!’

7. Crack. As in ‘YOU CRACK ME UP MOM!’

8. Plausible. As in ‘IT’S PLAUSIBLE’

10. Imposible. As in ‘ THAT’S IMPOSIBLE.’

All of the above have been used in the past as his response to me asking him to do something. If you don’t believe me, look at this face!

Love all the Britishisms in there. Chuffed always stands out for me too when my friends use it, because it just sounds funny to me. Great list!

Love your list, totally going to teach my boys to use “Chuffed” now to go along with their other Thomas the Tank engine slang that peppers their language.

Why the British words? Have you lived in the UK? Chuffed is such a great word! Thanks for giving me the idea for my listicle–although I found it very hard to stick to only 10 British words I like!
