Starlings and rainbows

It rained all Tuesday.

Then just before the sun retired for the night, it started shining bright. The most incredible double rainbow stretched across our neighborhood. As I was chasing it, hoping to take a great photo, a flock of starlings flew over me playfully heading for the nearby trees. I love watching them. They are one of many nature’s wonders.

So instead of reading my ramblings today watch this video by Islands and Rivers. I have seen it so many times and my heart still beats faster every single time. Isn’t this world an amazing place?

I saw a double rainbow once, in Colorado, decades ago (literally), and I’ve never forgotten it. Like a blessing made visible.

So, so beautiful. We had skies like this today (followed by a cats-and-dogs downpour), but unfortunately no rainbow.

I’m kind of speechless after watching that video. Incredible. I’ve only seen a double rainbow once – while surfing in Costa Rica! Now, whenever I see a rainbow I think of my son. He loves them and draws them all that time.
