Best laid plans

In case you thought there is no down side of living in the most amazingly beautiful spot on this planet (and possibly Mars too)?

Husband has 2 days off from work to celebrate 4th of July.

Mid of June he says: We should go somewhere for the forth. I am thinking Victoria, BC. Take the ferry, stay in a posh hotel, make it a nice mini vacation.

Mid Of June I say: Sure.

End of June he says: Not sure we can make the ferry in time to get two full nights in Victoria. Let’s plan for alternative just in case.

End of June I say: Sure.

On Sunday he says: Let’s go to Vancouver instead. Find a posh hotel and explore the city for two days.

On Sunday I say: Sure.

On Monday he says: Maybe we can just stay for one night? I am thinking of the dog you know.

On Monday I say: Sure.

On Tuesday he says: I was thinking, weather is suppose to be great all week. How about we go to Mt. St. Helens instead? That way we can take the dog with us too.

On Tuesday I say: Sure.

On Tuesday afternoon I say: How about we just stay home. Maybe go to Seattle for the day and eat sushi?

On Tuesday he says: If you are sure that is what you want…

On Wednesday we plan on going for a day trip. It is hard to find the incentive to leave the island. Because lets face it, why would anyone want to?

So as you read this, guess:

What did we end up doing on the 4th of July?

Let you know in the next post.

Our plans were a little off from what we had originally planned also.

The main thing is that you all had a good time.

I hope you had a great day. Sometimes when things start out bad (We can never get there, traffic, late start, etc.) those turn out to be the best days. Love your photo of the yellow boat and blue water.
