I always thought him having long hair was a bad idea. You know, it goes in his eyes and all. But husband insisted, the kid refused to have it cut. I always trimmed it, but he never had it cut. First haircut? Are you the sentimental type and kept a lock like I did? (a tradition I failed to keep with the second child….probably since she didn’t have enough hair to cut…actually, she’s 4 and I am still waiting!). You are holding us in suspense for the front view!

I did not have the courage to go along. But the lady that cut his hair gave my husband a whole envelope full of it.
I was hoping it would be long enough to donate to locks of hope but the hairdresser said it was not… promise to post the photo on Friday.
Congrats to him!!! What a milestone. You have also reminded me that I need to cut my son’s hair before this weekend. Ahhhh-

Oh my goodness, I miss those golden curls! But I remember when my son was about 3 and had a wild mop of curls in his golden brown hair. My dad’s wife was taking care of him while I was working. My dad (ex-military and a cop), came home from work and lined the kids up for their “high and tights”. When I picked my son up, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He was so proud of his “boot camp cut” and I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say. My sister (who also had a son) told me I should press charges of “child abuse” against my dad. She has always been a piece of work! I love the photo. I would also love to kiss the back of that sweet neck. (That is my favorite place on yummy children!)
