Weekend treat

I have been on a serious ice cream kick lately. Ben, Jerry and I spend some quality time together every night. So dessert made entirely out of ice cream? It  just had to be done.

Seeing how ice cream is soul food I thought you will enjoy reading this. Alicia is famous for her photography but this week she shared a beautiful insight into her soul. CLICK here. It truly is a picture painted with words.

Serves 4| Hands-On Time: 15m | Total Time: 20m

Ingredients

  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cups toppings (such as shredded coconut, toasted sliced almonds, crushed ice cream cones, chopped toffee candy bars, and chopped chocolate cream sandwich cookies)

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the ice cream into 8 balls, place on the sheet, and freeze until firm, 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Place the desired toppings in separate shallow bowls. Roll the ice cream in the toppings, pressing gently to help them adhere. Serve immediately or freeze, loosely covered, for up to 3 days.

  1. This is a nice idea for ice cream. It really looks presentable and new to the eyes. Thanks a lot for sharing to us this simple step on how to make an ice cream snowball.
