Spring in my neighborhood

This post was inspired by:
Mama’s Losin’ It

I really wanted to do this week’s prompt number 4.) Photo Story: Take a walk through your neighborhood this week and share some pictures of what Spring looks like where you live.

There is a bit of pressure because I lack two things that most bloggers who add pictures to their posts have: a keen eye for photography and a decent camera. The first I told you more about yesterday and as for the camera, it is older then my son and is mostly used by him too. In fact I will let you on a huge secret: the picture I use as Twitter avatar was in fact taken by my three year old by mistake.

But I have one huge advantage. My neighbors. It is where we spend most of our days, where our beloved Vizon is, where our friends live and where  you should one day visit. These might not be the best shots, but they capture a little piece of heaven. Enjoy our spring.

Oh, these are gorgeous! That’s funny that your little one took your twitter picture. I think that you just never know with photography… Probably there’s a little bit of luck and magic that comes in to play.
I can barely imagine your corner of the world, it seems so different and open and beautiful (looks kind of chilly, though). Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Mahin. Chilly it is. We wore gloves and hats building sand castles on the beach this morning. A lady rode by and we got to talking. She said her house is a ten minute trot away. Seriously, this is how people measure distance in my corner of the world.

Thank you. My dog does fancy himself a bit of a horse. He is taller that Dancer too. But shedding is about the same, I can attest.

Not many lizards here :) I do miss monkeys stealing my golf balls at the Saujana CC back in KL. Every little place on this Earth is amazing.

Sorry to hear that. I love snow, but there is a time and a place for it! And May is not it. But I do remember growing up skiing in short sleeves during May. Special treat. Hope you get a warm front, immediately.

Girl those pics are great!!! I grew up on a farm…and sometimes still really miss the serenity and peace. I love to take my kids there in the summer for a bit of a refuge. We don’t even get cell-phone coverage there…it’s WONDERFUL!!! I’m jumping over via Mama Kats!!

Thanks for jumping over and for the compliment. Just like you I love the quiet and simplicity of a farm. I grew up in a capital city, so I am learning how to live the way I always dreamed of.
