Monday Listicles

I don’t know about you, but I am starting to feel autumn rolling in.

The weather has been warm and summer like, but leaves are starting to fall and trees are changing their colors. I think I like autumn best. It used to be winter for me, but there is something so dreamy about this time of the year I am converting as I get older. I think my camera will like it too.

Speaking of my photos I wanted to let you know my prints arrived last week and I decided to share one with you. I will publish the giveaway on Friday, but I just wanted all of you to know it is mostly just my way of saying thank you for being supportive and encouraging in the past few months helping me believe I can be a photographer. So if you would like to have something fun on your wall (or a birthday present for your husbands 50th) pencil Friday into your calender and come around to enter the giveaway sponsored by Stasha B Photography ( how cool is that, talking about my own self as a company?!).

Next week is Bits Of Bee’s turn to call a topic. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find her blog in the link up and read what she would like us to write about. To help you out a little: she lives not far north of me, has super cute kids and a great sense of humor. Also mad skills that will come in handy if she becomes a policewoman soon. OK, one more. Next to her link up will be the neatest photo of her pretty face. I pretty much did all the work for you tonight. You are welcome.

So last chance to talk summer! I decided to let my dog share with you his. It is true this one had no dog days of summer but it sure was a summer of my dog. Let’s see what your was like!

Make a list, check it twice, link it up. Read others. Have fun!

If my dog could talk I am sure this would be:

Think my husband is holding him. Or some random stranger, happens a lot. You know, first they ask if they can pet him, next thing you know everybody is all over him, snapping pictures with their iPhones. My dog understands young Beiber, for sure.

He is one adorable giant dog. I feel like scratching his tummy in that rolled over one. That’s what my mom’s dog does when he wants a good tummy scratch.
Looks like Big M had a great summer! 🙂
Congrats again on your new company!

My dog is so matted up I don’t think I could ever reach his belly 😉 Thank you my friend, it was love like yours that made me sum up the courage.

I’m so excited you can call yourself a company!!!
Your big dog looks very happy in all of those pictures. Well, content at least, I’m not sure how happy a dog can actually look! 😉
    Love your photos as usual.

I like that Jen. You are right, dogs are dogs, no telling what they think. But I do think he is a cheerful kinda guy. Thank you, I am super excited to be a wanna be entrepreneur. Lucky for me, I don’t have to work, so it doesn’t really matter if I ever get a customer. Thank you, Husband 🙂

I know, he is snoring at my feet as I type. He has a great life, but he does make our better too! Will you share donut’s summer with us?

Such a great topic! And I always enjoy your takes on Listicles. Love how your imagination works.

  4. Oh I want a whole book of photos of your dog and his best bud, your son 🙂 But for now I’ll try my best at the giveaway! What a great idea. This is the first photography giveaway I’ve ever seen and I hope you’ll do more!

Stasha, I gathered your dog was big, but the photo of “posing a bit” with your son makes him look like a big bear! I’m guessing he weighs 150lbs? He is beautiful! And what I love is how he looks like a gentle giant in all of these photos! I love this take on the Summer 2011. No dog days for him!

Oh, thank you Kim. Your photos warmed my heart, the girls are so cute and happy. I believe my dog is closer to 170. Last time he was weight was a year ago before we had him shipped from England and he was a solid 160. His journey to America cost us more then our three plane tickets were combined. Worth every penny though, he has my son’s back 24/7.

  5. Oh how I love your Newfie! I wanted to kiss the computer screen (not a good idea). Wonderful pictures! The one of him with little J is precious. And dog days of summer- very clever!

Thank you Iza, why don’t you link your list of tips on how to go about illustrating children’s book? It is a list of ten!!

Oh, how I adore your dog! Really great photos, Stasha. And another fun link up list this week! Very excited for the launch of your new business. Congrats on that.

Thank you! Did you spot next weeks list? It is a good one ha? And speaking of photography, yours are beautiful too!

  7. Oh my GOD that DOG and those photos are AMAAAAZING!
Congrats on being your own company, and a photographer! Yay!
My fave pic is the one of your dog walking in the woods – vibrant colors. Lovely (-:

Thank you Jaclyn. Your summer looks fab, so do you! I linked you up, sorry you were having trouble earlier. Have fun reading others, although I am afraid some of our summers were not quiet as adventures 😉
      Your site is lovely!

Thank you Brenda. He is a lovely creature with a heart of gold. That would probably benefit from daily brushings. But around here is more of a weekly thing. Hence the matted up belly. But we love him and scratch behind his ears daily.

I love the expression on the face of the little girl waving the flag…she’s not entirely sure that having such a large hairy neighbor is an entirely good thing. Funny. And double funny about the give-away!! I’ll be the stalkerish person hovering around your blog on Friday! Congrats again on the site & biz – it’s really wonderful. good for you for taking the leap!

  9. I am finally made it and I am happy for doing that. Thanks for the the invite.
I really love your dogs and all the photos. I grew up around dogs and they are the best friends you could ever have. I miss my dogs and wish that one day my son can experience this bond, but… we need a backyard so he can run and be free.
