No Martha here
I have many talents, cooking is not one of them.
Lucky for me, my Husband enjoys to cook and is very good at it. So good in fact I don’t even mind him taking forever, dirtying up most of the utensils and banning us from the kitchen for unreasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, he works till late in the afternoon and it is impossible to feed our son dinner based of his schedule.
So from time to time I have to roll up my sleeves and put the apron on. For most part, even though I find no enjoyment whatsoever, I will present an edible creation. That will then be judged and ignored by my son same as his father’s cuisine. Really, unless it was made in a chocolate factory, Little J has no appreciation for food at all.
This is not so much a confession as it is a tutorial. Of a very bizarre kind. If there is anybody else out there who is as challenged and uninterested in cooking as I am, I know a good recipe. Get gadgets. Lots of them! Since I have been equipped with an amazing slow cooker and Kitchen aid I have turned into a domestic diva. Sure I still don’t whip up things because I love cooking; but I like cooking, because I love gadgets.
If only my laptop or mobile phone could produce a tasty meal, I would be the best chef in the world.
